Rummage Sale Fundraiser
In order to raise funds for both the Santa Maria Women's Shelter and our chapter, we gathered six truckloads of donations from generous community members. Two of the truckloads were great clothes and toys that went directly to the shelter. In just five hours, we turned the remaining four truckloads into cash, giving $500 to the women's shelter, and depositing a significant amount into our own chapter account which was put towards our next event.
A special thanks goes to April, Ashley, Laura, Lorina and Megan
Day With Creative Women
On August 12 we joined hundreds of women in the Mission Plaza to enjoy Day With Creative Women. We set up a booth and offered prizes for correct answers to quiz questions on women's participation in politics and on the status of reproductive rights. It was a great opportunity to spread the word about Younger Women's Task Force!
A special thanks goes to April, Katie and Megan
