MISSION & GOALS: The Southern California chapter currently consists of two sections – the San Diego, and Orange County – however membership is certainly no limited to these areas and we would be happy to help you organize younger women wherever in Southern California you happen to be.
In the San Diego area interest has been centered on issues of body image, and issues of policy ranging from the war in Iraq to immigration. Activities have included consciousness raising groups and participating with Code Pink in their bi-weekly rallies for peace.
In Orange County interests are across the board, with equality and economic concerns topping the list. We are in the beginning phases of developing this portion of the chapter, and activities have been focused on meeting new people and creating an issue agenda for the area. |
