MISSION: The Atlanta chapter of the YWTF was launched in early 2006.

We hope all who are interested in improving the lives of women in their 20's & 30's will step forward with us as we redefine & advance the role of young women both within and beyond the context of the women's movement. We have a unique opportunity to craft our organization from the ground up to fulfill the needs of our community - whether we grow into a professional networking & development group, a social organization, a place for education or innovative discussion of ideas, an outlet for activism around state legislation and initiatives or a combination and expansion on all of the above is up to you!

Thank you and we look forward to working with you soon!!

Join our chapter directors Jaci Bertrand & Leah Edwards as we establish other leadership positions to fit the needs of our growing organization.

Jaci Bertrand, Chapter Co-Director

BIO: Jaci Bertrand is the Senior Program Officer for The Atlanta Women’s Foundation where she works with other community volunteers and activists to distribute funds to nonprofit organizations working with women and girls.  Her professional focus is to increase the capacity of Atlanta’s women and girl-serving organizations through both leadership and organizational development. Originally from New Mexico, Jaci graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Rhetoric & Advanced Composition and is eager to help shape a younger women’s movement in the southeast.

Leah Edwards, Chapter Co-Director

BIO: Leah Edwards is an organizer and fundraiser with a passion for promoting women's involvement in all aspects of electoral politics. She has worked as a field organizer for the South Carolina Democratic Party, a national campus organizer for the Feminist Majority Foundation, and a national religious liberties organizer for the ACLU. Originally from suburban Georgia, she is excited with the opportunity to expose new women to the women's movement – embracing the notion of equality for all people and seeking its advancement through education and activism.
